Customers can choose from several repair options based on their needs. They can opt for self-service repair, utilize Microsoft in-region repair, or seek assistance from a Microsoft Authorized Service Provider (ASP) for tailored support. It's important to note that any damage incurred during self-service repair is not covered under Microsoft's Hardware Warranty or protection plans.

Microsoft Protection Plans provide extended coverage beyond the standard 1-year Limited Hardware Warranty, helping customers protect their investment and extend the lifespan of their Surface devices. These plans also support a reduce, reuse, and recover model, which minimizes waste and lowers IT costs through Microsoft’s Management Portals.
